ABOUT: Three talented singers, desperate for a new start and with ambitions of stardom, navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success.

10 WORDS REVIEW: Catchy music, great story-line but it is way too stereotypical.

i looked forward to STAR to the way I look forward to New Years Eve – with anticipation and I have to say – I was not impressed.

I mean, it was cool and all – I loved the music (a little) and it had some really strong characters (especially QUEEN LATIFAH) – BUT that was the exactly problem – it should’nt just be some, ALL CHARACTERS SHOULD BE STRONG!

STAR doesn’t start off great, and relies heavily on the highly stereotyped characters. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with a series having diverse characters, but this feels way too forced.

I didn’t want to compare it to Empire, but common, even Empire started off BETTER!

Lets just hope the series finds its purpose before its too late.

STRAIGHT OUTTA OZ – by Todrick Hall (REVIEW)

NOTE (BY TODRICK)

This past year has been very rough for me. I lost my Mtv show, struggled with the relationship with my mother, dealing with racism and homophobia in the industry and self image was such a struggle. I put my all into auditioning for NBC’s “The Wiz” and got so close to landing the role of the Scarecrow, but didn’t get it. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for helping me out of this dark place and encouraging me to turn my struggle into art. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has always held a special place in my heart, and I have never been more proud of anything I’ve created. Thank you all for standing by me on this crazy yellow brick road we call life. Enjoy “Straight Outta Oz” and I hope to see you all this summer when we perform it live. Tickets are on sale now at todrickhall.com and I CANNOT wait to share the story of my life and Oz with you every night.

100 WORD REVIEW:

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is by far one of the best prime-time musicals on Television today (not that there are that many to chose from); its story-lines may sometime feel and be a bit exaggerated and unbelievable, but this is usually unseen thanks to the loveable characters and their never-ending humour.

The music in the series also comes to play; its a combination of modern, classic and Broadway, so it appeals to almost everyone.

But I’ll say this, if you have no patience for annoying main characters doing equally annoying things on TV, I suggest you steer clear of this show..

His plan is a great one, except for one major flaw…

REVIEW:
Descendants is something new on TV, and very mature – especially for Disney Channel… The cast are unbelievably immense in their role and the music is actually not bad…
