10-WORD REVIEW: it was its own version of badass, but kinda mediocre.

I wont lie, I was heavily impressed with how well the essence of Tarzan was captured with this movie; but I also had two or so problems with it. One being the plot line – which could have been better and second being the CGI – it was not as great as ‘Jungle Book’ (sorry, I’m comparing movies now).

Now, to the acting – I was very shocked at how slick and dapper Tarzan(Alexander) could be in one scene, and then a complete animal in another. It was EPIC! Margot Robbie was a sweetheart, and believe me when I say I’ve seen her on the other side of the scale, and its not as pretty (hello, suicide squad lovers!). Her chemistry with Alexander and the other cast members was on fleek. Samuel L Jackson was good too.

RATING – 5.0/10

GRADE: C-

An unreliable man-child is put in an awkward position when he has to take care of his brothers kids.

REVIEW: Uncle Buck is a colourful television comedy, though most of its lines are cliché and a little worn out, it makes up for this in the unique way its managed to modernize its 1989 predecessor.

Lets not forget, Mike Epps is a fantastic ‘Uncle Buck’, there’s a lovely family theme and the acting doesn’t suck!

RATING – 7 Hearts (Strong!)

#4Reasons why Nickelodeon’s SCHOOL OF ROCK wont last!

SCHOOL OF ROCK – (TV Sit-Com/Movie Remake)

YEAR: 2016

NETWORK: Nickelodeon

STARRING: Tony Cavalero, Breanna Yde

RATING – 4 hearts💙💙💙💙 (Weak)

PLOT:

head.jpg

School of Rock is an original Nickelodeon series, and a television remake of the 2003 Movie of the same name starring Jack Black and Miranda Cosgrove. Like the movie, it focuses on a young man with ample love for Rock Music who impersonates a highschool substitute teacher and forms an unlikely friendship with his musically gifted students and begins prepping them for battle of the bands and life as rock stars.

4 REASONS WHY THIS REMAKE PROBABLY WONT LAST

  1. Sure, the conversion of the movie to a television sit-com is not exactly the worst idea EVER! But the decision to air it on a kids/tweens channel is literally a terrible one. Sure, its got kids in it and everything; but the whole concept of the show will not be fully realised if it keeps having to please young audiences, if the show was on TeenNick or Freeform – Now that’s room for a little wider range of comedy..
  2. The movie was based on Jack Black’s character teaching his students how to play classical Rock; but based on episodes that that have aired so far, it is clear that this series is not heading in that direction; but rather focusing on current pop songs. I mean, i get that they’re trying to appeal to today’s kids but Its school of Rock – Not school of POP!
  3. The performances are average at best. Unlike former Nickelodeon show (Victorious) which was literally the best musical show on the network, the cast of this show are not all musically gifted and that’s much of a let down as anything.
  4. There is little originality – Sure, I understand that its based off a movie, so there’s only so much that can be done to make it original. But, covers – seriously? Why not just create original songs. I know Glee pulled it off, but that was only because it was creative in ways many of us can never fathom.

School Of Rock has potential to become one of the best kids shows on Television seeing as it’s got a few of the best actors in the business, but the negatives outweigh the positive,a and so it begs the question – WILL IT LAST???
